In Nov. 2008 Sensei Ed Di Nardo and Yudansha Al Connelly went to Okinawa for the celebration of the 55 year anniversary of the Jundokan and the 10 year memorial service of the death of Miyazato Eiichi Sensei. Miyazato Sensei was the successor of Miyagi Sensei, the founder of Goju Ryu Karate Do. Miyazato Sensei founder the Jundokan. The anniversary and memorial where attended by 230 students from arround the world.

While at the event Yudansha Connelly joined Judokan and received the rank of 3rd degree black belt from Jundokan.
